Mo Abdolell is a biostatistician with over 20 years experience in modelling data for clinical decision-making. He is an accredited Professional Statistician with the Statistical Society of Canada since 2007. After completing his graduate studies at the University of Toronto he worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He currently holds a position as Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University, and is Affiliated Scientist at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.
Professor Abdolell has a track record of developing innovative applied solutions in the areas of data analytics and medical informatics to address clinical problems. He has been actively engaged in funded research projects with funding to date totalling nearly $3m. Email Mo.
Dr. Kim brings more than a decade of experience in clinical radiology and medical imaging to the company. Dr. Kim was the founding director of Sentinelle Medical, and was instrumental in building Sentinelle into the world’s largest independent manufacturer of MRI coils, which was acquired in 2010 by Hologic (HOLX) for $105M.
Dr. Kim holds SM and SB degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1995, he received his PhD in Medical Biophysics (MRI Physics) and in 1997, his MD from the University of Toronto. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Tomography (CT, MR) at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2003 and has been board-certified since 2002.
He is the author of numerous publications relating to cardiac imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, magnetic resonance angiography, and also holds sever US patents in MRI. He is a co-founder of Excelion Technologies, Tornado Spectral Systems and Perimeter Medical. Dr. Kim was also the former Director of TUC Brands.
Mike Lee is a General Partner for Rogers Venture Partners where he invests in innovative companies, with a focus on Mobile services and infrastructure, Cloud, Internet, and Digital Media.Mike Lee previously served as Chief Strategy Officer for Rogers Communications where he was responsible for strategy development, business development, and strategic partner management for the Rogers Communications group of companies, which include Rogers Cable, Rogers Wireless and Rogers Media. Mike also held the roles of VP, Strategy and Development; and VP Product Management at Rogers Cable.
Previous to joining Rogers, Mike was a founder-entrepreneur in two technology companies.
Gordon Cheung is the founding director of Tornado Spectral Systems and founder of a number of medical technology companies. Gordon is currently the Clinical Director of MRI/CT at CML HealthCare, one of the largest medical imaging practices in Canada.
He is Consultant in Medical Imaging, Division of Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. From 1990 to 2003, Dr. Cheung was the Clinical Director of MRI at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Dr. Cheung is also an entrepreneur, a founding partner of TUC Managed IT Solutions, and a founder of Excelion Technology.
